Young Money Manager Program (YMM)*

100 hours Train the Trainer (on- the-job training)

  • 40 hours of Knowledge development
  • 20 hours of Leadership development
  • 16 hours of Team Presentation Preparation
  • 10 hours of Media Training
  • 10 hours of Public Speaking
  • 4 hours of Observation

6 – 8 hours Speaker Series on topics:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Personal Branding
  • Life Long Learning
  • Home-ownership
  • Resume Writing (2 parts)

*In partnership with the Department of Employment Services (DOES) – Office of Youth Programs (Summer Youth Employment Program). 

During the Summer Youth Employment Program, Bank on DC provides on the job training and support to a team of youth facilitators who provide outreach/education to their peers about how money affects their daily lives-now and in the future. To become a Young Money Manager for DOES’s Summer Youth Employment Program, each participant must complete the YMMC Program. Once certified, YMM Facilitators travel to summer host-sites to educate and empower their peers to make inform financial decisions and promote saving.
